  • archiving exchange papers in filing cabinet
  • organizing students to assemble exchange papers (See directions to the right for exchange papers.)
  • adding schools to labels for exchange papers
  • printing labels

Exchange Papers

Exchange papers are papers that are sent to other schools around the country to share ideas and brag about our beautiful paper or received from other schools.

The Distribution Manager is responsible for exchange papers.  They can solicit help from other staff members to help them complete the task.  They are to be completed by the Monday after the newspaper is printed.

How to address, fold, and mail exchange papers:

  • Make sure that your labels are easy to find and you know how to print the address onto the labels
  • Print out two sheets of the Tenderfoot return address labels
  • Print one of each of the sender address sheet labels
  • Pick up at least 60 stamps at the administration building across the street
  • Carry a prestapled newspaper with you so that they can weigh it
  • To staple, fold in half and staple so that it stays
  • The TFT labels go in the top left corner
  • The stamps in the top right
  • The to sender adresses go in the middle
  • Set up an asssembly line with one person stamping, 1 person stapling*, and 1 person labeling both parts
  • Go through again to make sure everything is in its correct place
  • When complete, go on an adventure to the post office

*The stapler's hands will be very dirty when they're done

Each month the advertisers for the month should be added to the list of exchange papers and sent an exchange paper.  These labels can be written by hand.

Every staff member is responsible for:

Google Account
Each students student should create a Google account if he/she does not already have one.  Go to gmail to setup an account.  You will be using both the email account as well as Google Docs.

Google Docs
